It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas!

Hi everyone! We are doing great and Lilli is still home, healthy (besides the cold), happy, and thriving more and more everyday. She's attempting to crawl but ends up scooting backwards and if you hold her under the arms she will take steps! It will be interesting to see if walking or crawling comes first.... but they can both wait until the Christmas tree is down in my opinion :)

We were blessed to receive an adorable handmade Christmas stocking for Lilliana from one of Denis's co-workers (the one in the middle) and we LOVE IT! As you can see it matches ours perfectly and the Santa is holding a heart :)
Have a wonderful Christmas if I don't post again before then!

Thank God it's "just" a cold!

Little miss Lilli has decided to catch her 1st cold! But how impressive that it took her 10 months :) We were VERY worried overnight as she was breathing really heavy and waking up about every 1-2 hours crying so I made an appointment with our cardiologist this morning as we thought maybe there was fluid in her lungs again. Well... it looks like it's just a cold and not fluid! Thank God.
On the picture forefront I was able to get some adorable ones finally. I'm saving the best one for our Christmas card but here are some outtakes... :)

Christmas photo shoot....

Well I attempted to take some pictures of Lilli for a Christmas card.... and determined that our camera STINKS! I was just looking at her and she was adorable but the darn pictures were either blurry, overexposed, to dark.... UGG! I did get a few cute ones and if I can't get anything better soon they will have to do. Here are some for you viewing pleasure :)

Great Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my aunt and uncles house in SW MN. Lilli really enjoyed eating her 1st bites of Thanksgiving food... the yummy sweet potatoes seemed to be the winner in her book :) It was just amazing to have a "normal" holiday with our family and our little miracle there to join the fun!
We put up our Christmas decorations as a family this weekend and even convinced daddy to put up lights outside :) We just can't wait for Lilliana to experience her first Christmas. Now we need to start working on cards, gifts, baking.... but I LOVE IT especially sharing it with my little sidekick!
All for now.

Thankful for my MIRACLE!

Well, do we ever have something to be thankful for the Thanksgiving... my little miracle is doing great, the fluid actually went down a little (on it's own), and we get to enjoy her 1st Thanksgiving with family, and best of all out of the Hospital!

We met with our Cardiologist yesterday and he said that Lilli looks WONDERFUL! She is breathing great, her O2 is in the mid 80's, she is happy, eating, growing, and he said as of now we should not need to see him again until January! Lilli was a little sad at this because she loves him... but she'll get over it I'm sure :)

Lilli has decided to become a "big girl" overnight and has determined that "baby food" is soooo baby! She is now eating "table food" off her highchair tray with her hands, and is in love with her new found Independence. She's already up to 14 lbs 5 oz and is getting her big ol' cheeks back.

Last night we had bath time and have realized that Lilli is now also to old of baths in the kitchen...
Water was EVERYWHERE! But it was soooo darn cute!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We pray that everyone can remember that there is so much in life to be thankful for!

Not again... PLEASE!

Ok so we went down to the U today for a quick X-ray just to be on the safe side (we had it scheduled on discharge). I thought 100% that every thing would be "all clear" as Lilli had been breathing, acting, eating, and playing amazingly well. But I knew it was not good when the caller ID showed the U calling tonight.... there is a decent amount of fluid in her lungs again but at this point not a major concern. I need to call tomorrow and make an appointment for Monday for another X-ray :( Honestly I'm not sure I can handle all this **** again! More than anything I just want to have a normal Holiday season with no Hospital stays and a HEALTHY happy Lilli. She is just doing soooo well right now that it breaks my heart to think that she may either have to go back on the nasty Vivonex formula, get another chest tube, stay in the Hospital for who knows how long.... UGG!
Please pray that my little angel is just fine and can stay on track with "plumping up" on her favorite stuff, and not need another Hospital stay over this again.

Overdue Update... Yes we are HOME :)

Hi everyone. Sorry, we did get to go home Thursday and we are LOVING it! Lilli is doing beyond amazing, she is back eating over 20 oz a day of milk and three meals of solids, she's back on her tummy, smiling, laughing, saying Mama, and just being her sweet little self again. It's like she is back at her "pre surgery" self and you can just see the extra oxygen working wonders with her. Words can not even come close to describing how blessed we feel to have her back at home and to be feeling so well. Thanks again for all your prayers.
